Lotus Elise CR-Club Racing

Catwalk-slim and 24 kg lighter than the standard Elise, the Elise CR struts with fresh interiors and elegant, the same color as the exterior body. Now that the sexy and cosmopolitan style. Reprocessing back to basics has meant the end Lotus central locking, radio and even the ceiling. The battery has also been changed to a smaller one, and what little sound buffer has not been started. The margins are small in the standard Elise, but the CR is more raw and more participation. The address is as bright as ever, giving you astonishing levels of feedback, and the Elise is flowing well along a typical British B-road. The trip is not as tough as expected, either. Do not even have a roof, for example, and the seats are plastic buckets filled only with thin wafers stuck on where it is needed. That's fine for half an hour in your favorite B-road, but beyond that and it may be seen going back numb.

Engine

The Lotus ethos has always been to make the cars as efficient as possible, and that is even more relevant today. The 1.6-liter engine produces an impressive 134 hp (136 hp) at 6800 rpm and C02 emissions of 149 g / km. This translates into a 0-60 mph in 6.0 seconds. A gearbox is standard 6-speed, which means that whatever power is more accessible than ever. The Lotus Elise Toyota presents the new 1598 cm3, 1ZR-FAE engine. The key to this engine performance and efficiency is the Valvematic system (a mechanism variable valve lift), combined with the dual VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing-intelligent). The engine continuously monitors the intake valve opening / closing and the time of intake valve lift to vary the volume of intake air flow, providing significant improvements in efficiency and fuel economy. This ensures optimal performance based on the engine operating condition, thus helping the Elise achieve both high fuel efficiency and performance. The maximum is reached near maximum revs (engine speed) of 6800 rpm and maximum torque (160 Nm a respectable 118 lb.ft) is reached at 4400 rpm. This gives a good combination of mid-range pull but also encourages the driver to accelerate the engine to the maximum engine speed of 7,000 rpm (transient rev limit). Like all Elise sports, there are three turns on the lights, in the log cumulatively lighting when the driver approaches the rev limiter and when all three are illuminated, they flash to indicate that the driver is almost in the limiter what time speed gear shift.
